Why this matters

Agents are not neutral — they apply heuristics about source authority, recency, and consistency that determine whether your product's content is treated as ground truth or discarded as noise.

Try it yourself

Prompt an agent (ChatGPT with browsing, Perplexity, or similar) to research a competitor's product and inspect which specific sources it cites — categorize them by domain type (official site, review site, forum, news).
Find a factual inconsistency across two pages about your product (e.g., a pricing page vs. an old blog post) — predict how an agent that retrieves both would resolve the conflict based on typical trust heuristics.
