Brief

Design a 2-3 piece enclosure (top + bottom + maybe a side panel) using multi-body design. Parts must fit together via heat-set inserts or snap-fits. Use parametric relationships so changing the enclosure size updates all parts. Print and assemble.

Hints

Start with a single body; identify split lines; split into multi-body. Use 'Project' to bring shared edges into new sketches.

Expected output

Multi-Body Enclosure: Custom Lid Box

Parameters: enclosure_width = 80, enclosure_depth = 50, enclosure_height = 25.

Bodies:

bottom (parametric base with screw boss posts).
top (lid with matching boss positions).
inserts inside bottom for M3 heat-set inserts.

Assembly: M3 screws from top into bottom. Lid snaps off with finger lift.

Print: PETG. Times: 1.5h per part. Result: assembled enclosure fits PCB perfectly.

Stretch goals

Add joints in CAD; simulate the lid opening.
Version the design: small, medium, large enclosures.
Build a library of 'standard inserts' you can derive.
